::Getting better indoor shots with Redmi 3s camera::

Hi MIUI ers,

Here i am sharing some of the tips to capture nice indoor shots with Redmi 3S primary camera. As we all know the camera is pretty good at capturing outdoor shots with good quality. The main issue that every one faces is when taking indoor shots when lighting is poor...Or in general the shots that we take with our family members or friends inside our home...So i am sharing some tips which i found useful when using ths device to take pics....

1.)All pics are unedited direct from the device
2.)Used the latest china dev rom (7.5.11 at the time of posting this article)
3.)Used stock camera app with no mods applied.
4.)Used tap to focus every time as i found it better for accurate focussing in low light.

Things that have improved (which i think in some of latest dev roms) :

A somewhat better noise reduction method by controlling iso, shutter speed so as to get an optimal iso with reduced noise in low light ...Hope it improves further in coming builds...

Things that needs improvement :

1.)Exposure levels when using tap to focus (background objects other than the subject in focus tend to over expose a bit when using tap to focus)
2.)Again some nice tuning in noise reduction algorithm makes it even better...

Here are the images at various settings inside room..This is a tricky situation when light comes from behind the objects in focus or its sides...

Normal click
As you can see image over exposes with tap to focus on the face of the subject.

HDR ON (default HDR mode)
HDR does a pretty good job in the default mode. But the curtains still over exposed in some parts.

HDR ON (exposure reduced)
HDR mode with exposure level set to -1.7.Though the image looks dark on screen, after taking the pic the HDR algorithm makes it even across the picture...So the tip is to reduce the exposure by dragging the arrow after tap to focus so that the over exposed area seems correctly exposed...(in this case the curtain on the right side)

Final output::

Note : HDR mode is bit slow in processing as it takes three continuous images and process them into one  for better dynamic range..So keep your hands steady till it is saved ...Also don't apply hdr on moving objects as it causes blur..For that HHT mode is better.

Please feel free to share your tips here for taking better photos on redmi 3S...Enjoy taking photos !!!
