Another version of Android is round the corner! We all are quite eager to try it out and test out all the new features it has to offer. Google tries its best to maintain the hype of its Android upgrades by doing a lot of things like asking the people to guess the name of its coming major updates. Last year, most of us thought that Google would name Android N as Nuttela but the official name announced by Google was Nougat which was quite surprising.
Why are Android upgrades named after desserts?
There is no particular reason for this but it is believed that the co-founder of Android, Andy Rubin loves desserts and so versions of Android are named after desserts.
Some of the most probable names:
Oreo- This name comes to our minds instantly when we think of Android O. Google's Hiroshi Lockheimer hinted on Twitter that oreo is most likely candidate out there.
Ontbijtkoek- Pronounced as ont-beyt-kook, it is a Dutch breakfast which is served with butter. It is spiced and sweetened. It is quite similar to gingerbread.
Oatmeal cookie- It seems similar to a chocolate chip cookie and is pretty much like a basic cookie with oats and sometimes raisins in it. The end-product often seems to be deformed pretty much like Android once different manufacturers get their hands on it!
