Hi MIUIers, Xiaomi made a surprise earlier this year by introducing the "new taste" brand, namely Redmi. Through the brand, a new smartphone emerged that was able to attract the attention of many gadget users,the Redmi Note 7. Yes! This smartphone comes with 48 MP camera support.
Not only Redmi, Samsung also made a surprise by releasing a "smartphone budget" that was included in the line of the Galaxy M Series family. There are two models of the Galaxy M Series launched by Samsung, the Galaxy M10 and the Galxy M20.
Let’s do a detailed Samsung Galaxy M20 Vs Xiaomi Redmi Note7 comparison. One device has been launched with the assuring features i.e. xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and another is expected to be on sale in 2019 on February 5. We will try to do a detailed comparison between Samsung Galaxy M20 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 to find the best. They have got own features and both carry own identity in the mobile world. They have been luring the users with the amendment in features and quality of their devices. We will do the comparison on different aspects which are related to design, display, battery, camera specifications and overall performances of both of them. To elude the confusion of the users, we are going in lucid detail of every part of it.let’s dive into it.
The M20 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 both have stunning looks. The xiaomi comes in an all-alluring glass body with Corning GorillaGlass on both ends. It has been quite fixated with the metallic body despite the leap of other top-tier. Samsung M20 doesn’t seem less in design. It has too got dazzling and glossy kind of build which is quite impressive. The M20 comes with the dimensions of 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8 mm (6.16 x 2.93 x 0.35in) and it weighs 186 (6.56oz). While Xiaomi comes with the dimensions of 159.2 x 75.2 x 8.1 mm (6.27 x 2.96 x 0.32 in) and it weighs 186 g(6.56 oz).
Redmi comes with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. It has got the aspect ratio of 19:5:9 (~409 ppi density) with a display resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels;6.3 inches, 97.4 cm2 (~81.4% screen-to-body ratio).
While Samsung Galaxy M20 holds the PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors and comes with the display of 1080 x 2340 pixels,19.5:9 (~409 ppi density) aspect ratio;6.3 inches, 97.4 cm2 (~83.6% screen-to-body ratio). The display on both devices seems to be very vivid, colorful, text looks sharp which is quite adorable.
Battery life and its performance can be one main reason while purchasing a mobile. We get 5000mAh battery on M20. While we get 4000mAh battery on Xiaomi.
Winner- M20 is a clear winner. We get around 1000mAh more Battery Capacity on M20 in comparison to Xiaomi. With more battery size, device’s battery can generally last more time, though it depends on various other factors too. Besides this Fast Charge capability makes a device even morefavorable.
Both the devices supports fast charge which is impressive..
The camera is one of the main USP for both the devices. Weget dual 48 MP, f/1.8, 1/2″, 0.8µm, PDAF;5 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor rear camera on Redmi. We get 13 MP, f/1.9, 1/2.8″, 1.12μm, PDAF 5 MP, f/2.2, 1/6″, 1.12μm, depth sensor rear camera on M20. Both the devices can take nice images in all lighting conditions and Bokeh effect seems to be good on both devices. Xiaomi can record 1080p@30/60/120fps, (gyro-EIS). video. While we canrecord 1080p@30fps videos on Samsung Galaxy M20.
Winner – Both the devices are winner. Redmi with 48MP can take brilliant images while M20 wide angle capability is something you can look out for. More resolution generally means better picture quality, though it’s not always necessary.
If we talk about front camera Xiaomi has got 13 MP with video ability of 1080p@30fps. While M20 comes 8 MP, f/2.0. It has got 1080p@30fps video ability.
Winner– In this area, Xiaomi is the winner with more megapixel sensor in comparison to M20.So, we can say M20 needs could have done better in this area. It can be sure when it gets released.
Snapdragon 660 Vs. Exynos 7904

If it enters the body, wewill see that Redmi is very confident to equip the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 660chipset . While Samsung is still confident with its own chipset, the Exynos 7904 . Both chipsets are manufactured through 14 nm fabrication technology. The CPU configuration of the Redmi Note 7 is Octa-core (4 × 2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4 ×1.8 GHz Kryo 260), while the CPU inside the Galaxy M20 is Octa-core (2 × 1.8GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 6 × 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver).
If Snapdragon 660 is accompanied by GPU Adreno 512 , Exynos 7904 uses GPU Mali-G71 MP2 . There are three choices of RAM offered by Redmi, which are 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB. All three are paired with 32 GB and 64 GB storage options.

Redmi Note 7 is powered by Octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Kryo 260& 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260) and it is aided by 256GB; 64 GB, 4/6 GB RAM or 32 GB,3GB RAM. M20 comes with Octa-core (4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kry. It comes with the storage capacity of 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 32 GB, 3 GB RAM and can be expanded upto 512GB. We get Adreno 512 GPU on Xiaomi and Mali-G71MP2 GPU on M20.
If we talk about performance and gaming we get different multitasking and gaming performance because of internal and expansion capacity.We get Android 8.1 (Oreo) on both devices, which makes them more favorable.Both of them comes with a fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock feature which makes them up to date.
Lastly, the most crucial comparison is about the chipset.These days the latest technique makes the device best in the mobile market.so,to make it worth both devices have endeavored to enhance the chipset. While Samsung M20 comes with a chipset Exynos 7904 Octa (14 nm) and while xiaomi comes with Snapdragon 660(14nm).
Winner – M20 is a clear winner coz it has adopted the latest version Chipset in comparison to Snapdragon chipset.
Conclusion: We get Best and update features on both the devices which makes them very favorable. If we talk about Design Redmi is preferable. The display is nearly the same on both the devices but we prefer M20 due to its large display area.
Rear cameras are more favorable in Redmi with Dual 48MP and 5MP as well as a front camera is also good with 13MP on Xiaomi. Overall performance is better on both the devices.
