MIUI 9 to Have a Lighter and Simpler ROM. What Are Your Thoughts?

Hi MIUI-ers,

MIUI is one of the most popular customized Android ROM which comes with fairly user-friendly features and beautiful UI. Another trademark for MIUI is none other than the timely updates provided across Alpha ROM, Beta ROM and Stable ROM. Be sure to check out our download section to know the latest update for your device.

MIUI ROM will undergo major updates annually. Normally the launch event will be held on 16th August and presented by Head of MIUI, Hong Feng. However, with the exception for MIUI 8 as it was introduced on 10th of May 2016 along with Mi Max. Since May is around the corner, there are speculations about MIUI 9 is coming soon. Do note that any release date, eligible devices and features about MIUI 9 posted on tech sites are fake info. MIUI 9 is still being developed and we can't give any timeline for MIUI 9 launch as for now. Please stay tuned on our forum for latest news.

Our developers never elaborate further about the statements above. What are your thoughts? Do you prefer using  "lighter" MIUI? Which features should be removed or added?

Yes, we need simpler and lighter ROM. Some built in apps like Second Space, etc can be removed, users can install it form Mi Store if they want it.

just remove any preinstalled app that never used or give features to remove preinstalled app

Remove the security app, please. Simplify the permisions of apps, autostart, etc

My only wish is unified ROM with all languages, and as simple as possible.

yes, it's right to remove that features that is rarely used by us.
This is nice idea but we have different likes nd dislikes.
so one may be using that feature,
