This is a complaint against the Service Center RDC GhaziabadAs a Xiaomi user since 2014, I have 3 MI phones in my family. My experience with the customer Service Center RDC at Ghaziabad was NOT GOOD at all and I expect the management to take note of it for strong action.
For a software issue I had visited the service centre on 08 Sep 2018 in the afternoon with Token number B072. After a long wait of 1 hour when my turn came, the service representative did not check the phone to identify the problem and indicated that such a problem as explained by me can only be addressed by changing the motherboard which would cost Rs 4800/ and i will have to wait for 24 hours for the repair. Inspite of my explaining that no physical damage had occurred and no part is likely to replaced. Its only when the MI software was being updated on the phone (as prompted by the MI downloader app on 07 Sep) the screen had gone blank and since then cannot be switched on inspite of various attempts.
Since this appeared to be a case of irresponsible and unprofessional behaviour by customer care representative, I left the service center and I approached a local unauthorised repair shop to look into the problem. Here, the local repiar person immediately identified that the software has to be reinstalled which would take a maximum one hour and Rs 500 fee. I got my phone repaired immediately
I have waited for 7 days to see if any problem reoccurs before raising this COMPLAINT.
I am glad to inform my phone is working fine and I strongly urge that strong action to PENALISE/ WARN / REMOVE must be taken against such staff who behave unprofesionally causing harrassment to the customer which in turn will affect Xiaomi's reputation.
