So after about two days of using MIUI 6 on my MI 3W, I would like to share to you my experience and initial impressions about this beautiful MIUI 6. This revciew will cover mostly of MIUI 6's new interface and design.
1. SETTING UP:
You'll be greeted by MIUI 6 with a different touch of design. Gives, you an idea of what will MIUI 6 look like. But just like MIUI v5, you'll be asked for your desired language and input.
The setup will also ask you to connect to you wireless network and set your data usage.
Lastly, you'll be asked to setup your location settings and You're all Set!
2. USER INTERFACE
This is how the new launcher looks. not much difference from MIUI V5 on these shots. MIUI 6 now includes a nice-looking flat icons.
The new launcher shows a more minimal interface for settings widgets, effects, and wallpapers. Also, uninstalling apps gives you a nice "uninstall" animation.
You can now choose between two views on recents page by pinching in or out.
This is how the new dropdown toggles and notifications looks like. You'll see more blur effect on other apps. They look so neat and elegant.
MIUI 6 also offers a different reboot menu. They are neatly done along with their smooth animations. The charging screen will show up for a second when you plug in your cable.
These security locks look so nice and elegant. Pattern lock is also available :)
The Settings and Updater app. The new settings app has a colorful and minimal icons matched with a white-ish backgroun. Notice How the status bar color changes into white too! The updater app shows a different and fresh looking animated bubble-like figures.
This is how the new music player looks like. Again with beautiful blur effects.
This is the now playing screen. Notice how the background changes according to the current album art.
This how the mail app looks. very clean and organized.
The security app interface has turned into minimal and slick design but has retained its prowess and useability.
This is how the file manager looks. MIUI is trying to have a united design interface and it's awesome!
The new look of the Recorder app. The animation responds to the amount of sound it hears.
Not much changed has seen from the calendar app except for the white header. It is already awesome in the first place.
Above are the clock and compass app. They are really nice looking and have greate live animations.
The weather app. Very neat and simple but gives you details straight to the point.
Overall, i'm really impressed with MIUI 6. There are bugs here and there and i am looking forward for fixing those. Developers have lots of time for that. For me, MIUI 6 is the best among all other android os's when it comes to beauty and functionality.
