update:
just flashed MIUIAndroid.com 2.9.21 on gnex, and everytime I hit English (US) for the language system at first system initializing, the System UI stop working.

Nope, we dont provide OTA patches so the SHA-1 checksum is not a problem as when we OTA we do it with full package.

Our ROM builds are on: Goo Manager, ROM Manager, and direct download.

have a you ever tried to remove xiaomi framework service? i believe it's the com.xiaomi.xmsf? it took a lot of cpu wakeups, com.android.gsf too (google framework service)

i can delete the xiaomi framework service from adb shell command line but not sure what will follow. lol

Id be surprised if you don't see a lot of problems after doing that. MIUI is built around the Xiaomi framework, not google.Be interesting to here results though.

thanks Mark, just installed uk version and got system ui not responding when choosing the english us languange at initial setup. after several reboot and such the system works well. :)

I believe he was using Official MIUI when the OTA failed, or there shouldn't be any error message regarding QuickSearchBox.apk

i'll update my testing later, this weekend. i'm running miuandroid rom right now to see the packages differences. hehehe.

it's hard for me to download full ROM since only have 500MB internet monthly quota here in Indonesia. :/ that's why I'm looking for OTA with Gapps on Official English.

The incremental ota is handy, but has drawbacks with people who don't understand the conditions of it being valid and how they work, which Mark has told me in the past is why he dislikes them.

yeap, you're right. i'm using the official miui when ota failed. stuck at quicksearchbox.apk in cwm recovery mode. hehe

i also will try to delete the quicksearchbox.apk from the cm10 gapps and report the result on next weekly build OTA update.

if all things fail then i can always fall back to miuiandroid.com :)
