sim activation

i just buy a iliad sim. i  put it in the first slot on my mi5x. xiaomi doesn't activate it becouse there ins't credit phone. i opened i.mi.com to ask a sms verification. it arrived but the sim doens't work. why?

Kindly provide more detailed information on the issue you are experiencing especially your current location because as far as I Know there is no "iliad" sim in Ph.
