|Hello..Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 came with MT6795 Helio X10 which supports a new fast-charging technology by MediaTek called Pump Express Plus..|
MediaTek has unveiled the Pump Express Plus technology in an effort to compete with Qualcomm Quick Charge. Of course, as with Qualcomm's charging technology, you will also need a compatible charger for Mediatek's Pump Express Plus technology and the first one available was the HJ-QC-084.
Pump Express Plus has three levels, Regular, Turbo 1 and Turbo 2. All three are locked at 1.67A, but have higher voltage in order to deliver more power. The Turbo 2 level appears similar to Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 as well as some other similar technologies on the market, like Intel's iQ or Samsung's Fast Charge.
- Regular mode: 5V - 1.67A (for a combined 8.35W)
- Turbo 1: 7V - 1.67A (combined 11.69W)
- Turbo 2: 9V - 1.67A (combined 15.03W)
According to specifications, it should be possible to use Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 charger with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, at least if it's not blocked by Xiaomi. So can you please try to charge your Redmi Note 3 with QC 2.0 charger and compare it with the original Mi Charger ? share your results with us.
