I also got the error below right after selecting HM1W-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip, does it have anything ...

try with this HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip

Hi hi everyone, how come when I do the Vol Down + Power button I only get to see a Android image and only one Fastboot and I can't do anything else. It just stuck there...

Comment

punkthemonk try pressing the POWER button once in that screen, you should be able to chose between recovery, fastboot and normal  00:03, Mar-25-2014

Hi thanks for the guide.

I am having some issues with getting this to work. I have a TD-CDMA HM running ver13. I recently removed CWM because it was preventing me from getting OTA updates. I did this by using this guide

I used the HM1TD-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip and root-stable.zip

I follow the steps and everything appears to have installed successfully however when I get to the part that says "Now you will be greeted by the TWRP Recovery" I get the "Select Boot Mode" screen again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on why this is not working?

Thanks

punkthemonk did you turn the phone off after installing TWRP? you can then turn on the phone while pressing VOLUME DOWN and POWER to enter TWRP to install root_stable.zip  00:02, Mar-25-2014

Hi thanks for the guide.

Yes. I took the battery out and then turned on using vol- and pwr button. I have tried repeating the process about 4 times now all with the same results.

One thing I did notice was that when I put the files in my root they do not appear in SDCARD2 but in SDCARD.

I tried moving them and installing from the other location but I still can't get past the "Select Boot Mode"

Thanks for the rooting method. Works on my SG redmi. Updated to Superuser ver 1.93 binaries with no problems as well.
