Xiaomi's entire smartphone range in India -- barring the Mi Mix 2 -- is comfortably priced under Rs 20,000. Now, while Xiaomi is dominating the budget smartphone market in India, the company needs something entirely new to target the mid-range segment up to Rs 30,000. Thus, the launch of the new 'Poco by Xiaomi' brand. And the first smartphone--Poco F1-- is exactly trying to compete in the entire smartphone market between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 (appx USD 300 to USD 430).

The Xiaomi Poco F1 comes in three storage and RAM options. The base variant that offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage costs Rs 20,999 (appx USD 300), the 6GB of 128GB storage version costs Rs 23,999 (appx USD 343) and the 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 28,999 (appx USD 415). There's also an Armoured edition that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and costs Rs 29,999 (appx USD 430).

Quick take

The Poco F1 is a promising start for Xiaomi's brand new Poco brand which has all the potential to make its competitors like Honor, OnePlus, Asus and others to sweat.
