[Q & A] How to stop MIUI from force closing selected apps running in background?

Whenever an app is removed from the multitasking tray, MIUI force closes it in the background. I really appreciate this feature and it's one of the many things I love about MIUI. But some apps need to be running in the background to work properly like clock widget apps or instant messengers like Kik or WhatsApp to notify properly. So, is there any way I can keep selected apps running in the background?

Please notice, I need selected apps to run in the background. (I know a way, but that enables all apps to run in the background.)

How about swipe down the app you want and lock it in the multi-task tray?

It looks disgusting to keep a clock widget app locked in the tray like that for 24 hours a day.
And I've so many IM apps. If I keep them like this all day, they'll cluster the tray.

I don't think that apps like Whatsapp, QQi, Viber, or widgets etc. are force closed.

I strongly bel ...

That is exactly the case. Right now I am using Kik messenger on my phone. And it does not notify me of new messages. It shows me the new messages only when I open the app manually.

(It does alert me when the app is there in the multi tasking tray, but it doesn't notify when its not on the tray.)

And I'll download that app, but I did check it from Settings>apps>running. When I open Kik and its in the tray, the 'running apps' list shows kik. But as soon as I remove Kik from the tray, it gets removed from 'running apps' as well. So I assume that means, MIUI force closes any app as soon as you remove it from the tray.

I'll still download that app and let you know.

I got your point.
Whether you clean the RAM or swipe up the each application to remove from task/ap ...

But this does not happen with my friends... they get notified as soon as the msg is sent to them (on kik)...

And my problem is just not with Kik... there are other apps too which need to be running in the background for working properly. like clock widgets or more importantly Google Now. I enabled the 'voice search from any screen' option and then observed that if the app is removed from the tray, it stops working.

Isn't there anything that can be done to stop these apps from being closed in the background?
