Desktop
· Lock screen
The lock screen interface supports preview of missed calls and new messages. You may go into the call or text message interface only by one step. Custom full-screen lock wallpaper is also supported.
· Launcher
Can be populated up to 6 shortcuts or folders by drag and drop. Custom shortcuts (i.e. widgets) will not drop here.
· Desktop folder
Create a folder for the stuff you don’t use and move all the icons into that folder. There is no App Drawer, everything is on desktop. New installed app goes to the desktop.
· Edit mode
To put widgets on desktop, long press on empty space on desktop, you’ll see two icons on either side of the bin. Tap on them, drag & drop the widgets onto whichever desktop screen you want. Drag icons to bin to get rid of them.
· Screen thumbnail
Press Home button, you can then add desktops. You may add or move (drag and drop) screens. The default home screen will have just the Home button highlighted.
· Power saving settings
Power saving settings appear when the system achieves warning quantity of electricity. You may set different modes to save electricity. It will return to normal settings after charging.
· Task Manager
Long press on home key to enter Task Manager, you may quickly switch recently used programs, or close all running programs.
SMS
· New message
Tap the "New message" at the bottom of the conversations page to create a new message,
· Automatic identification the name and image of SP service providers
System automatically recognizes the name and image of some SP service providers
· SMS collection
Collect important messages for easy reference.
· Group sending messages
To group send a message, you may send text messages in the group menu, or select the group or multiple receivers on the message adding page.
· Quick reply window
When a new message pops up, you may use quick reply window to reply or delete unwanted messages. Pop-up window can be turned on or off in message notification settings.
Calls
· T9 smart dialer
T9 smart dialer makes calls easier and faster. Call a number as usual by tapping as applicable and tap Call button. Just tap the End Call button while the Call is in progress to end it.
· Ring time
Ring time of missed calls is shown to help you determine the importance of incoming calls. The system automatically shields the first ring when a stranger calls to prevent fraud harassment.
· Phone number attribution
Call records show number attribution and optimize the time display.
· IP numbers
Default different IP numbers for users depending on different providers.
· Barring of incoming calls
If you do not want to get harassed by phone, you can modify barring option as “reject strangers’ incoming calls” or “only take contacts’ calls” in Settings.
Contacts
· New contact
There are a variety of ways to add strangers as contacts. Storage tips will show when you dial strangers’ number in the dial-up panel. You may also click on stranger’s image in the call log to add as contacts. Or you may just create New Contact by entering the name and phone number.
· Smart generation of contact name and image
System automatically generates contact name and image for user identification.
· Powerful group
You may manage contacts in groups, easy to find and edit. Groups support group sending messages and group ringtones settings.
· Contact phone number attribution
You can view the phone number attribution on contact details page.
Settings
· New settings
Settings are optimized as Common, Personal, System, Program, easier for users’ easier search.
Toggles
· Smart toggles
Smart toggles, auto-sorted based on user frequency. Long press on the icon will launch the settings for that icon.
Auxiliary function
· MIUI net disk
MIUI net disk includes “Installation requisites”, "All for one” and “One for all”, supporting batch installation. You may view programs other users share in “All for one” and share your programs with others in “One for all”. If you want to install programs in your SD card, press the Menu key in MIUI network disk, select "APK Installer" to install.
· MIUI system update
New version of descriptions and acknowledgements will show if there is any system update. Click download to complete OTA upgrade to ensure that the system is the latest official version.
